Sometimes I Wonder Why...

Iraq. These are the people that, right now, we're doing our best to protect from getting their assed kicked and deemed irrelevant from here on out? From this story:

Two contractors who were not killed in the initial firing were dragged from
their vehicle, and one was shot in the back of the head, the newspaper said.
The
crowd "doused the other with (gasoline) and set him alight. Barefoot
children,
yelping in delight, piled straw on to the screaming man's body to
stoke the
flames," according to the report.

Accountability? Zilch, unless you mean giving out medals of
freedom. Leaving now would probably invite a lot of disaster. But
sometimes I run out of patience.

I hear you dickie... but, the it's times like these that remind us why we need to be there now. I feel your frustration. I hate to see anybody come to harm, and it saddens me. For the war originally or against it -- imagine all the women that would be tortured and raped -- imagine the breeding ground for atrocities.

I hate the BS argument of two wrongs make a right and if we weren't fighting them there.......

Don't really understand your mastery of the English language there, Sonny -- Firstly, I don't believe that there are two wrongs in this regard -- I agree with Anon 3 above... I wasn't agaisnt the War.. I'm not against fighting terror, and I am for the President. I think Dickie may be a tad more Liver-al than me in this regard. But, we're both professionals, and we don't have to agree. got that dickie?

Anon 1 & 2, I think that defending the War effort, which has been done ad nauseum, doesn't really need to be done. You can disagree with me, (and your argument is really augmented by brilliant name calling, really backs your point.. oh wait.. what was you're point again, Billy?) but, you're also the same people that rallied fake support for freedom for two weeks after 9/11 until the wind blew that away like it does all your convictions -- Sing your song aall you want, Castro, but, you'll be chanting a different mantra next time we're attacked. I'm for protecting my family first. You want to allow a terrorist breeding ground bubble up in the primordial heap that is Iraq -- pat yourself on the sack and call yourself a humanitarian. Longer arthur dales: I am amazing.
